My dear little Lucy 

my dear little child 

my dear little aunty 

your soul is so bright 

nobody else can be so pure 

like you have been I am sure 

I’ll always remember 

during your last days 

the kisses you send 

to me from your bed 

and with the voice so weak you said 

I love you do not forget 

It makes me so sad 

that you are now dead 

this deep winter has 

a taste for regrets 

And I was not by your side 

in the last moments of your life 

I’ve dreamt of you often 

during the last days 

you’re going to heal 

sat over your bed 

but things went in another way 

and you have left us in the pain 

Living in your old house 

I will always have 

the chance to remember 

all the things you left 

since when I was born you were there 

and now a part of me is dead
