on what does it mean to have friends
people that sometimes
seem more than brothers
and the next moment suddenly strangers
it is hard to believe
for me
I found myself
so weak again
since I can hardly understand
years melt into
just few months
and distance becomes an ocean
between two people that
were friends

there is no “always”
only transition from friends to nothing
no explanation
often was given
simply “be able to accept the change”

Erano amici
Mi prendo qualche minuto
solo per riflettere
su cosa significa avere amici
persone che a volte
sembrano più che fratelli
e il momento successivo improvvisamente estranei
è difficile da credere
per me
Ho trovato me stesso
di nuovo così debole
poiché riesco a malapena a capire
gli anni si sciolgono
in solo pochi mesi
e la distanza diventa un oceano
tra due persone che
erano amici
Hai detto che ti sono mancato
ma tu sei scomparso
è stata una tua scelta
ma dici che sono io
che ha deciso di andare lontano
che ha scelto di stare lontano
Ho scoperto
non c'è "sempre"
solo passaggio da amici a niente
nessuna spiegazione
spesso veniva data
semplicemente "essere in grado di accettare il cambiamento"
e "siamo lontani ma, credi,
così vicino"
