Our roots to render firm

Can’t say why
But the tears fall
down the wood floor

As they’re trying
To heal the soil
And its trembling stones

The earthquakes left a sing over my heart
And a new line over my worried face
And a mood that I wouldn’t ever find

Someone sais
This is the end
We’ve only to pray

The earthquake
Is a message
The earth is sick of us

The empire of the men is going to fail?
The prophets said the truth in the past eves?
We have to wait for catastrophes and shame?

So it’s the time to know who we are
And our roots to render firm
We understand there’s nothing of sure
But the truth of our soul

And in my hands I’ve got my future
Among these uncertain paths
Every fall’s a new beginning
It’s not only a metaphor

What to find
Among the downfalls
Of our past faults

Our true home
Hasn’t got walls
Only living thoughts

So let’s awake the spirits inside us
As ancient as the monuments crumbled
The only way the rebuilding to act

So it’s the time to know who we are
And our roots to render firm
We understand there’s nothing of sure
But the truth of our soul

And in my hands I’ve got my future
Among these uncertain paths
Every fall’s a new beginning
It’s not only a metaphor

Idho *

Il carnevale dei papaveri
sul bordo della strada
l’orzo sbiadito in attesa
del trionfo di Bran **.

Le luci della prima alba
non scoloriscono la pioggia
la musica non può ancora
ipnotizzare il cielo.

Il fiume della genetica
sfocia nella bellezza
o nei fatiscenti rigagnoli
dello spreco assoluto.

Sulla terra devastata
dal sisma inaspettato
le siepi d’erica*** affogano
sotto il diluvio e i detriti.

I rametti del tasso ****
si stagliano nel cielo
- in eclissi disperata -

Wells and whitethorn

I am here waiting
For the new month
That they are naming
Of the whitethorn *

And I can see
The rain is still
Filling sky and time

We’re to wear only
The oldest clothes
And think always
To clean our soul **

And not destroy
A whitethorn bush
If we want some joy ***

I would speak of the procession of the 4th
Near the wells and the sacred old whitethorn
All of us had to tear pieces of our clothes
And put them near each sacred little thorn ****

In Glastonbury there was an old whitethorn
That in Christmas time could flower in the cold
And Puritans that cut the tree killed the hope
That the ancient gods could become the new gods *****

Can I live again in that sacred Land
Where everything was a sign

Sometimes the darkness
Is good for me
But then I like
To breath the light

Nobody knows
If the moon will
Substitute the sun

May be that over
The drowned world
The ancient myths
Can have return

And all of us
May again touch
The well and the whitethorn

I would speak of the procession of the 4th
Near the wells and the sacred old whitethorn
All of us had to tear pieces of our clothes
And put them near each sacred little thorn

In Glastonbury there was an old whitethorn
That in Christmas time could flower in the cold
And Puritans that cut the tree killed the hope
That the ancient gods could become the new gods

Can I live again in that sacred Land
Where everything was a sign

Biasimo

Sono un istante nuovo
di penombra assolata
come il respiro curvo
tra il palmo e i chiodi
una manciata di vento
obliata dall’estate.

The whitethorn is flowered

When you gain some joy
In the things you choice
To do during your day
You have to say a prayer

You can see the sun
Suddenly waked up
There is a new surprise
We use to call springtime

Now that the whitethorn* is flowered
And I cut links with the others
I take pictures of the sky of springtime

It’s no more the time to shutter
Will I be able to face up
All the light that it is going to come?

Please tell me that there will be a new revival of the soul
To make me believe my little freedom I’ve not sold

Sun in the water**
Can gently strengthen
The life of all the ones
Can believe there’s chance

Let me heal myself
From all the no sense
I need to fix a pole
Around which I can walk

Now that the whitethorn* is flowered
And I cut links with the others
I take pictures of the sky of springtime

It’s no more the time to shutter
Will I be able to face up
All the light that it is going to come?

Please tell me that there will be a new revival of the soul
To make me believe my little freedom I’ve not sold

Fortune teller

Things change
There’s nothing else to do
Than to accept this truth
No there’s no other way

I see
My brimful cup of tea
Becoming cold and I think
I’m the vestige of me

Sometimes I forget
The way from I come from
The place where I was born

Do you want to ask
To the fortune teller a forecast
About the rest
Of your life to start to bet

On you again?

She speaks of you as
She was an old date friend
You can’t understand
If she knows or she invents

It’s different?

I’ve been
So empty and so sad
My past full of regrets
And absent of true hands

I’ll be
Someone more successful
I will gain some new truth
The coffee grounds seem sure

Sometimes I believe
Sometimes I refuse
The things she is now saying

Do you want to ask
To the fortune teller a forecast
About the rest
Of your life to start to bet

On you again

She speaks of you as
She was an old date friend
You can’t understand
If she knows or she invents

It’s different?

Se il dolore riscatta

Le braccia degli abeti
s’allungano a bussare
sui vetri opachi
come i tuoi occhi
